My Apologies

— Kahdeidra Martin (in Soul Sistah; Issue 1)

My spirit bleeds truths
that you need to hear
so I write:

I write because I am metamorphisizing
into something beautiful and sexy
so sexy you may miss it
you may can't handle it if you knew
but I'll keep trying keep trying
in spite of cause this is my calling
I write because it feels good
orgasmic even, but better cause there's
no leading up time
no getting ready time
I come when I please for as long as I need
and it only gets better

Infinite waves of pleasure encompass my spirit
when pen meets paper
infinite waves of pleasure envelop my spirit

When pen meets paper these walls collapse—
memories and undreamt reveries
of weightless loves and rankless living
shorn and spliced at the seam

I write because I am woman,
creator of these two-legged things
I gave birth to you, you know

I write because God made me
to create life
with words with sounds with music
S/He speaks through me
I pass you the blessing

Its just emotions.
