English Professor Andrea Lunsford is Director of the Program in Writing and Rhetoric and a scholar of rhetoric and composition studies. This will be a particularly interesting conversation because Professor Lunsford writes about writing - from college writing handbooks to scholarly analyses of women's rhetoric, collaborative writing, and other topics - so her reflections on her own writing process will provide unique insights. Sherry Handel is recognized as a publisher, entrepreneur, and teen marketer. She earned a Bachelor's degree (1990) in Business Administration from Northeastern University in Boston. Sherry is a publishing consultant with 13 years experience in the printing and publishing industry.The
publications she has created include Blue Jean: What Young Women are Thinking, Saying, and Doing (Blue Jean Press), and Blue Jean Magazine, which she launched in 1996 as a teen alternative to glamour and beauty magazines. USA Today named Blue Jean "The Thinking Girl's Magazine."

Sherry and her Blue Jean ventures were featured on Nick News, and many television and radio shows. Reviews, feature stories and mentions appeared in USA Weekend, The Wall Street Journal, The Chicago Tribune, The Boston Globe, Pittsburgh Post Gazette, Atlanta Journal Constitution, Philadelphia Inquirer, St. Paul Pioneer Press, USA Today and many other publications.

Most recently, she founded BlueJeanOnline.com, a creative space that showcases creative works by and for girls and young women ages 14 through 22.

Sherry serves on the Board of Directors of New Generation Media, Inc. a 501(c)3 non-profit charitable organization dedicated to empowering kids, teens and young women to create, produce, publish and promote their creative works.
